Trinity Park Update
There’s an interesting new development for the proposed Trinity Park. A letter was submitted by Barbara Wilhite (P.A.) on behalf of Adam Smith Enterprises to John Gallagher, County Administrator, that asks the County to convey the designated property to the Trinity Master Association.
… Since the County has expressed concern about the ability to operate and maintain a park in this location, Adam Smith Enterprises proposes that the property be conveyed to the Trinity Master Association so the Association, with the assistance of Adam Smith, can build, operate, and maintain a park for Trinity residents.
This proposal definitely caught the County by surprise and we will continue to follow the developments. We reached out to Adam Smith Enterprises for more information but they replied that it was still too early in the process to comment. The letter assures the County that this proposal has “broad support” with neighborhood leadership.
The open questions are if Adam Smith will continue with the same plans or draw up new plans? Where will the funds for operation and maintenance of the park come from? Will this make the park a “private” park?
Stay tuned. This is getting interesting. As a side note, the letter made mention of the County wanting to retain a spot on Trinity boulevard for a future library. We will search for more information on the scope of this library plan.
